Serenity Towers

The Situation

Serenity Towers is a 12-story, 55-and-older independent-living-facility located in the heart of Downtown Sanford. This beautiful old building needed updating, while keeping a feeling of home for the residents. Most of the first floor including the hallways and multi-purpose room had ceramic tile. The goal was to renovate with minimal demolition and downtime.

The Solution

By applying Schonox SHP primer and AP self-leveler over the existing tile, the flooring contractor was able to prepare the area for new flooring without major demolition. AP leveler is a dust-reduced product designed for refurbishment work for interior spaces, drying to an outstanding psi of 5800 at full cure. To finish the look, a beautiful Six Degrees Flooring Compass plank was selected in Portland – a fresh, neutral color!  Compass is a 28 mil commercial grade LVT with the warmth of wood and the durability and easy maintenance of vinyl.
