18 Years In The Flooring Business
My journey:
After graduation, I returned to a family-owned kitchen, bath, and flooring business where I had worked during college. I then joined a small corporate and healthcare firm in Binghamton, NY, before moving to Port Orange in 2012, eventually relocating to Jacksonville. There, I worked as a designer for a furniture dealer, which led to a position at RS&H in their healthcare studio. During this time, I obtained my professional license, which I still maintain. RS&H later transferred me to Tampa, where I supported multiple offices. In 2017, I was recruited by HOK and worked on large corporate and healthcare projects. In 2020, after the birth of my son, I transitioned to CFD, focusing on flooring. I now have two energetic sons who bring joy to my life every day.
Thoughts on the industry:
With my experience in the field paired with my role as a consultant, the winding path of my career has led me to assist in the relationships between designers and contractors and given me a unique perspective on how to bridge the gap between the two.
